Our Story

Founded by Jessica & Morocco Johnson

Gold Hill Candle Co. was founded by Jessica and Morocco Johnson in Napa Valley in 2016, with a shared appreciation for thoughtful design, beautiful fragrance, and the feeling of home.

What began as a love for creating something meaningful has grown into a candle brand recognized for its craftsmanship, considered fragrances, and distinctive approach to everyday luxury.

Thoughtfully Made. Naturally Inspired.

Our approach is rooted in simplicity: considered fragrances, quality materials, and an appreciation for the everyday rituals that make a house feel like home.

Each candle is hand-poured in small batches using U.S.-grown soy wax, FSC-certified wooden wicks, and carefully selected phthalate-free fragrance oils and essential oils. We leave out unnecessary dyes and focus on creating an exceptional fragrance experience with a clean, even burn and the gentle crackle of wood.

From familiar seasonal notes to unexpected fragrance combinations, our collections are designed to complement the changing seasons and the moments in between.
